The Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation presents a new full-length documentary film about Duluth’s worldwide heritage and the Duluth Aerial Bridge. Destiny’s path takes many turns. From a 17th century battlefield in Belgium to Abraham Lincoln’s billion-dollar savior … from the birth of steel to the mobilization of global economics … all have passed through the Gateway to the World.Gateway to the World was released for public sale on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. The 74-minute film on DVD, produced by Carlson Media, documents the history of Duluth and the rich stories of its pioneers. Interwoven into the fabric of the tale is the story of the Aerial Lift Bridge and how it has become a symbol of opportunity for our community and for the world.
