Special Awards
For consistently bringing Christmas cheer for many years and hopefully many more, Milt and Kay Hill, 1126 Anderson Road, won the Masters Award.
The Spirit Award went to Roger and Vicki Goode, 3209 Chestnut Street, whose home showed exceptional Holiday Spirit and an inspired use of space.

Any lighting displays within the Duluth city limits or at a 558 zip code prefix were invited to enter the 2012 Duluth Holiday Lighting contest.
Contestants – individual residences and businesses – were judged on the best lighting display. Lighting display entrants were announced Nov. 22 in the Duluth News Tribune.
This year a new category allowed the public to vote. The “People's Choice" award went to the business or residence that got the most votes Nov. 22-30.
Other categories were be judged by a panel of reviewers. Final judging in all categories took place Dec. 1-4. Winners were announced by Mayor Don Ness and recognized with trophies and prizes at the Bentleyville VIP event Thursday, Dec. 13, at The Inn on Lake Superior.
