May is a good month to think about gardening, local food and farming, and it's a good time to see the Environmental Film Network's May film, "To Make a Farm." This film has been named one of the 10 most popular Canadian films at the Vancouver International Film Festival. In it, you will meet five young people who have decided to take the plunge and become small-scale farmers. "To Make a Farm" will be screened in partnership with the True North Community Co-operative May 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre on Court Street, in Thunder Bay's Waterfront District.
