    St. Louis County Historical Society will offer free antique appraisals with Dan Sershon of Northland Estate Services and Denny Mager of Northern Specialty, appraisal experts, at the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center, Wednesday, May 16. Each person is allowed up to two items for an informal verbal identification and evaluation. If a piece is too large or fragile to be hand carried, clear photographs with a description of any marks or labels will be sufficient. The event runs from noon to 3 p.m.

    Is there any way to get an appraisal for a magazine without paying for it? I have a 1981 Life magazine and I would like to know if it is worth anything. Thank you
