Habitat Here! Festival

Hartley Nature Center is teaming up with Wild Ones to host the biannual Habitat Here! Festival Sunday, August 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who attend the free event at Hartley Nature Center, 3001 Woodland Avenue, can participate in talks on the importance of native bees and natural landscaping, go on guided tours of Hartley’s gardens and get the kids involved in activities designed for them. There will be experts on hand to answer questions. Native plant sellers will be available to sell plants or take orders for next spring. Habitat Here! is all about making our backyards friendlier to the animals that call this area home, providing more native habitat and inviting them in where we can see them.
