James R. Marshall, co-owner and chairman of Lake Superior Port Cities Inc., publishers of Lake Superior Magazine, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 17, 2006, in Duluth, Minnesota. JR, as he was known to his family and friends, had been declining with debilitating conditions due to Parkinson’s disease and other problems.  The funeral was held on September 20, with interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth. Memorials can be sent to the Rotary Foundation, c/o Skyline Rotary Club @ Wherley, 4845 Miller Trunk Hwy., Hermantown, Minn. 55811.
