Now you can know before you go to Park Point
Minnesota Sea Grant has developed a new website that will help to keep people safe and healthy as they enjoy one of Lake Superior’s most popular beaches on Park Point.
At www.parkpointbeach.org, web visitors can see the water temperature, wave heights and weather and UV forecasts along with any bacteria alerts and rip current risks. There’s also a nice webcam on the beach provided by Solglimit bed-and-breakfast inn.
Beach warning updates from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency cover the Lakewalk Beach, Franklin Park & 13th St. South, Lafayette Community Club and Beach House beaches on the Point.
