Judge John DeSanto, former St. Louis County attorney, presents “The Glensheen Murders: Over 36 Years of Mystery & Intrigue,” as part of the St. Louis County Historical Society series "Lunch With the History People." His lecture, from noon to 1 p.m., will provide the details of the Elisabeth Congdon and Velma Pietila murders. His presentation is based on the collaborative book Will to Murder: the True Story behind the Crimes and Trials Surrounding the Glensheen Killings, which he authored with former Duluth News Tribune columnist Gail Feichtinger and Detective Gary Waller of the Duluth Police. If you want to discover more about the Glensheen murders, you may purchase the book after the presentation. The event will be in the Ruth Maney Room on the first floor of the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center (the Depot), 506 West Michigan Street. There will be limited theater-style seating, but feel free to bring a bag lunch. Seating is first-come, first-served (no reservations). There is no charge.
