Glensheen Living Literature Presents "Sherlock Holmes at Glensheen" Thursday, April 3, through Saturday, April 5, at Glensheen, the Historic Congdon Estate. This special presentation is an intersection of theatrical performance and Reader's Theatre as costumed actors bring a classic Sherlock mystery to life. "The Hounds of Baskerville" tells the story of an attempted murder inspired by the legend of a supernatural hound that haunts a mansion. Sherlock Holmes and his companion, Dr. Watson, investigate the case. The $35 ticket ($30 for Friend of Glensheen and UMD students) includes the performance, drinks and hors d'oeuvres, a post-viewing presentation with Q&A on the Sherlock Holmes genre and a special, condensed Flashlight Tour of the mansion. The performance starts at 7 p.m. It's part of UMD's School of Fine Arts 40th anniversary celebration during the month of April.
