"Nature Photography: Wildlife and Macros" is a Giant Digital Photography Workshop offered Saturday, June 27, at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park east of Thunder Bay. The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is for intermediate to advanced photographers. The two-in-one workshop teaches camera skills to capture critters in nature, both large and small. It covers camera controls and settings for wildlife & macro photography; getting to know your subject, large or small; aperture and shutter speeds for capturing wildlife in motion and flowers in the wind; exposure, lighting and use of depth of field; and image composition. The cost is $65 per person, plus tax and the park entry fee payable at the gate (varies with day use or camping). These workshops feature hands-on digital learning with your camera in the natural setting of Ontario parks, along with Thunder Bay professional photographer Barry Wojciechowski. Provincial parks featured are Kakabeka Falls and Sleeping Giant in northwestern Ontario. Details and online registration are available at www.superiorvisits.com.
