11th annual Environmental Summit

Lake Superior State University and an international task force that monitors the St. Marys River invite residents and visitors on both sides of the river to the 11th annual Environmental Summit from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event sponsored by the Binational Public Advisory Council for the St. Marys River Area of Concern (BPAC) as well as LSSU. The summit includes discussions outlining the history, culture, ecology and recreational opportunities of the river, and an update on efforts to restore environmental quality. Local groups will have displays and informational pamphlets outlining how they work toward conserving the history and culture, promote recreational use and work toward improving environmental quality of the river. Citizens will find out how they can improve the water quality of the St. Marys by practicing watershed management skills. At LSSU's Walker Cisler Center.
