"A Celebration of Birds" Opening Reception

The opening reception for nature photographer and painter Karl Bardon's art exhibition "A Celebration of Birds" at Great Lakes Aquarium will be Saturday, March 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. Entry to the art gallery for this event is free. The collection features eight paintings, 16 photographs of warblers and five photographs of owls. Karl, a lifelong birder, has spent most of his life employed as a field ornithologist studying and counting birds on various projects throughout the country. His passion for and study of birds, combined with his academic background in art, provide a unique perspective of his subjects. The exhibit in the Merrill Lynch Fine Arts Gallery at Great Lakes Aquarium runs through September 8.
