St. Louis River Alliance and the W.J. McCabe Chapter of the Izaak Walton League are sponsoring two free public workshops, “A Flood of Options: Adapting to a Changing Climate.”
Choose one of these two free workshops that best fits your schedule.
Wednesday, June 19 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the EPA’s Mid-Continent Ecology Division (Water Lab) located in Duluth at 6201 Congdon Boulevard.
Thursday, June 20th from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Park Middle School, Lincoln Park Middle School Drive, located off West 3rd Street at 32nd Ave West.

Mark Seeley, Extension Climatologist, Dept of Soil Water and Climate, University of MN, also of MPR’s WeatherTalk & the Updraft Blog.
Chris Kleist, Program Coordinator, Responsible for City of Duluth’s compliance with stormwater regulations as well as coordination of the City’s stream restoration activities.

The workshops will give an overview of recent changes to local and regional climate, impacts upon local waterways, and ideas on how residents can help protect area streams and the St Louis River during extreme weather events such as floods and droughts.
