"A Touch of Magenta"
to
Downtown Art Place 111 E. Aurora St., Ironwood, Michigan 49938
The Downtown Art Place in Ironwood, Michigan, presents the exhibition "A Touch of Magenta," Sept. 14-Oct. 14. The inspiration for this exhibition is that magenta is considered a color of universal harmony. All artists were given the opportunity to express this idea in whatever way they wanted to. In some pieces you might have to search for that touch of magenta; in other pieces the touch of magenta is whimsical. Artists were able to submit paintings, drawings, original printmaking, sculptures, fiber, metal, wood and mixed media. The public is invited to a reception and awards ceremony honoring the participants of "A Touch of Magenta" at the Downtown Art Place on the opening night of Sept. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. Hours at the Downtown Art Place are Tuesday to Sunday, noon-4 p.m. For more information, call 906-285-7300.
