MUSEUM HOSTS 4TH OF JULY ACCORDION CONCERT
The Carlton County Historical Society welcomes Helmi Harrington and the Harrington World of Accordions Museum students for their 8th Annual Accordion Concert at Cloquet's CCHS museum on Wednesday, July 4 at 4 p.m.
The Independence Day accordion concert includes patriotic music and historic 1918 popular songs in remembrance of the year of the great 1918 fire. This program is part of a yearlong series of programs and events provided by the Carlton County Historical Society in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the great 1918 fire in Northern Minnesota.
The museum will open at 12 noon to view exhibits about the 1918 Fire and Trains and the 1918 Fire, as well as other exhibits on The Ojibwe of Carlton County, The Logging Era, and Barns of Carlton County. After the 4 p.m. Accordion Concert, refreshments will be served. Regular admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children under 12, and free admission for children under 5 and Carlton County Historical Society members.
