Jan Vayne and Martin Mans perform Sunday, October 27, at 2 p.m., as part of the Algoma Fall Festival. In 2005 Jan Vayne and Martin Mans began performing as a piano and organ duo. Known for the originality of their arrangements their concerts quickly became a must-see event in their native Holland. Jan Vayne is known worldwide as a virtuoso, who creatively uses the romantic style of the great composers of our time. He manages to seamlessly weave breathtaking improvisational ingenuity with all the different styles of music into one sparkling performance. He has created many new albums and concert series- at times in collaboration with other well-known musicians. His creativity and ingenuity are constantly being rejuvenated and reenergized. Martin Mans is an internationally recognized organist and conductor known for his improvisations. Performing over 150 concerts a year, Martin has received golden and platinum awards for his CD recordings and for accompanying the Holland Boys Choir. Currently a conductor of four male choirs Martin is creating a Canadian male choir that will perform in the Netherlands in 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Holland.
