Carlton County Historical Society 406 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet, Minnesota 55720
The Carlton County Historical Society presents a program on "American Quilting" by Marilyn Nelson on Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m. at its museum in Cloquet.
Nelson, who lives in Cloquet, has worked with the school district for many years and is an active member of the Humble Quilters of Carlton County. Her PowerPoint presentation shows the evolution of American quilters and their quilting styles throughout our country's history. This program gives visitors a context to learn more about the quilts on exhibit at the museum as part of the current exhibit "Stitchers and Weavers of Carlton County."
After the program, refreshments will be served. Regular admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children under 12, and free admission for children under 5 and Carlton County Historical Society members. The museum is handicapped accessible. For more information call 218-879-1938.
