Annual Holiday CD for Charity Release Party

The Annual Holiday CD for Charity Release Party will be Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Clyde Iron Works in Duluth, from 5 to 9 p.m., with free admission. "A Christmas by the Lake Volume IX" is a  two-CD set with 41 songs by musicians from throughout the region and will sell for $15 each at area Super One Foods, Pam's Hallmark in the Miller Hill Mall, Duluth-Superior Engwall Florist locations and online at bluebirdfoundation.org. This year's compilation features a variety of artists ranging from those with national ties to regional musicians that perform professionally, to groups based out of schools and churches. "A Christmas by the Lake IX" proceeds benefit the Bluebird Foundation. Bluebird is an advocate for regional kids in the arts. A number of the musicians from the CD will perform live at the release party, including Bluewater Big Band, Sydney Hansen, Ripple Effect, Sound of Strings Chamber Ensemble, Austan Lundeen-Bryan James Gatten and the  Marshall School Choir.
