Tour nine historic Ashland commercial and public buildings during Ashland Architec-tour, Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There also will be a scavenger hunt.This free event is being held as part of the statewide Downtown Open House, designed to showcase unique historic and cultural assets. The event will have a brochure offering a brief historical teaser about each building and a map showing where they are. Among the buildings included on the tour are the Ellis School Building, Stuntz Avenue Fire House, Soo Line Depot, Ashland County Courthouse, Clark & Clark Law Office (the old Security Savings Bank building), Northern State Bank and Ashland City Hall. In addition, there will be a fun Scavenger Hunt in historic retail businesses. Scavenger Hunt forms will be available from any of the open house locations. The Ashland Historical Society Museum will be open, and stores that have a historic background, like the New England Store, will have information readily available to see in their store.
