St. Louis County Historical Society presents author Chad Lewis for its Lunch With the History People series Thursday, September 20, from noon to 1 p.m. Chad has authored and co-authored an array of books that examine the history behind many mysteries, including the Minnesota Road Guide to Gangster Hot Spots and the Minnesota Road Guide to Haunted Locations. His previous presentations on these two topics beguiled our guests, who lined up to buy his books so they could further explore his stories. Upon his last visit, Chad was wrapping up his research for his most recent collection of eerie Minnesota legends. What: Chad Lewis returns to reveal several of his new discoveries in "Mysterious Creatures of Minnesota: From Aliens to Sea Serpents," his presentation based on his most recent publication, the Minnesota Road Guide to Mysterious Creatures. See the photos, hear the sound clips and experience the stories, which include drawings and testimonies from witnesses. Fascinate your mind with the accounts of Bigfoot, the State Fair¹s phantom pigs, aliens, witches and even sea serpents. The event will be in the Ruth Maney Room on the first floor of the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center (the Depot), 506 West Michigan Street, Duluth. There will be limited theater-style seating (no tables), but feel free to bring your own bag lunch. Seating is first-come, first-served (no reservations). Admittance is free.
