Fort William Historical Park will host a variety of activities for Canada Day on July 1, 2026. Here are some of the highlights:
Family-Friendly Activities: Explore the Anishinaabe Encampment and Fort William to learn about and celebrate the nation's diverse heritage. Activities include axe throwing, baggataway (lacrosse), firing a musket, paddling a canoe, dressing up like it’s 1815, making crafts, and meeting the farm animals.
Cultural Performances: Enjoy dance and live music, as well as food vendors and artisans.
Interactive Activities: Engage in face painting, outdoor games, and more.
Scavenger Hunt: Participate in a scavenger hunt and enjoy a Canada Day birthday cake.
Ceremonial Canoe Arrival: Experience a ceremonial canoe arrival with a musket salute.
