Christmas Reception

The Carlton County Historical Society will host a "Home for the Holidays" reception at its museum in Cloquet on Saturday, December 3, 2016, from 1-3 p.m.

The reception features the museum's seasonal exhibit "Katharine Dahlman, Cromwell Artist." Our new exhibit in the museum's South Gallery includes 19 original paintings by the late Katharine Dahlman from Cromwell, MN. The paintings and numerous photographs which accompany this exhibit were loaned to the historical society by Jennie K. Hanson, Katharine Dahlman's daughter, who will bring her family and visit with guests during the reception. Enjoy the winter and outdoors landscapes painted by Katharine Dahlman, whose specialty was birch trees, set among the holiday decorations at the museum.

Holiday refreshments will be served during the reception and live holiday music will accompany your visit to the museum. Regular admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children under 12, and free admission for children under 5 and Carlton County Historical Society members. The museum is handicapped accessible.
