Dine Sustainably Twin Ports

The Dine Sustainably Twin Ports Week begins April 28 and runs through May 5. This inaugural week-long celebration, presented by Sustainable Twin Ports, highlights six restaurants in the Twin Ports that are making positive strides towards sustainability.

The 2013 Dine Sustainably Twin Ports participants are:

• Duluth Grill – 118 South 27^th Avenue West, Duluth
• Tycoon’s Ale House – 132 East Superior Street, Duluth
• At Sara’s Table Chester Creek Café – 1902 East 8^th Street, Duluth
• Dubh Linn Irish Pub – 109 West Superior Street, Duluth
• How Sweet It Is – 324 West Superior Street, Duluth
• Sala Thai – 4023 Woodland Avenue, Duluth

The participating self-selected restaurants will meet some or all of the following criteria:

• Purchasing locally sourced products
• Serving organic/grass-fed/free-range/Fair Trade, etc. items
• Supporting local farmers
• Using scratch cooking methods
• Practicing sustainable operations (recycling, composting, growing your own food)
• Educating the community on sustainability, healthy food and food justice
• Eliminating foam, plastic containers for take-out
• Committing to being a leader in local food-systems/locavore movement
