Docs on Bay presents the film "Special Ed" Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Finnish Labour Temple (above the Hoito Restaurant), 314 Bay Street, at 8 p.m. This is an off-beat, touching and hilarious portrait of Winnipeg artist Ed Ackerman by award-winning director John Paskievich. Tickets are $7, but students, seniors and the unemployed pay what you can. "Special Ed" editor Jeff McKay will be in attendance. Also, an editing and directing workshop with Jeff McKay will be Saturday, Feb. 8, from 2-4 p.m., 19c- 4A Court St. South, and it's free and open to the public.
