Dragonflies and Damselflies Field Trip
to
Lois King Education Center at Friends of Sax-Zim Bog Welcome Center 8793 Owl Ave, Meadowlands, Minnesota 55765
Dragonflies and damselflies are an easily observed group of insects, and recently they have become popular targets of cameras and nets. “Dragonflying” is a growing hobby across the US, and northern Minnesota boasts an impressive and appealing odonate diversity. In the Sax-Zim Bog alone, we have documented 88 species of dragonfly and damselfly! This field trip will focus on seeing and catching adult dragonflies and damselflies. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Extra nets and hand lenses are available for those who would like to use them.
***REGISTRATION REQUIRED***
Field Trip attendance is free for Friends of Sax-Zim Bog members (those who have donated $25 or more within the past year). If you are interested in membership, the $25 fee covers membership and free entry to all field trips and programs (excluding workshops) in a 12-month period!
