Free Community Paddling Night

The Northland Paddler’s Alliance, Youth Outdoors-Duluth, and UMD Recreation Sports Outdoors Program will hold a free Community Paddling Night for the Duluth community Wednesday, August 16. Attendees will have a chance to try canoeing, kayaking, standup paddleboardilng, birding with Hawk Ridge, studying river animals with the Minnesota DNR, playing lawn games and enjoying a barbecue. No experience is required. This event is supported with a grant from the city of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department and the efforts of the Duluth YMCA, Northland Paddler’s Alliance, UMD Recreational Sports Outdoor Program, Hawk Ridge, and Minnesota DNR. It will be held at the Park Point Boat Launch from 2 to 8 p.m. Free food will be provided. For more information, contact Alaina at info@northlandpaddlers.org, or Melody at mmcknight@duluthymca.org.
