Gales of November

What began as a small gathering of divers sharing shipwreck pictures has grown into a two-day celebration of Great Lakes maritime history, shipping and diving. Featured are exhibits, illustrated presentations on history and underwater archaeology and a silent auction of maritime-related items. Gales of November is the main fundraiser for the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association (LSMMA) and helps to maintain and protect the maritime history in the Army Corps of Engineers’ Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center.
