Join Col. Theodore Roosevelt (Rough Rider) and General George S. Patton on Sunday, July 4 at the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center. The Center’s 4th of July events have been a hit with visitors since 2018. Meet these two great figures from American history at this one of a kind event. Tour the Bong Center before or after each program.
The General George S. Patton is considered one of the most successful combat generals in U.S history, George Patton was the first officer assigned to the Tank Corps in WWI. During WWII, he helped lead the Allies to victory in the invasion of Sicily, and was instrumental to the liberation of Germany from the Nazis.
Col. Theodore Roosevelt (the 26th President of the United States) led the Charge up Kettle Kill and then San Juan Hill to defeat the Spanish in Cuba in the Spanish American war, Roosevelt’s bravery and leadership in the field led to his governorship of New York and then to The White House.
