"Group of 7+: Hand Hooked Fiber Art"

The Sault Area Arts Center in the Alberta House presents "Group of 7+: Hand Hooked Fiber Art," May 1 to May 30. This group, founded by Joan Muckelbauer, has continued in her spirit and the hooked rugs are upbeat and highly original – definitely works of art that are modern takes on an old, utilitarian craft. The Alberta House, 217 Ferris St., Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is owned and operated by the Sault Area Arts Council, a nonprofit organization. Admission is free.
