Historic Quilting at Whitefish Point
to
Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum 18335 N. Whitefish Point Rd., Paradise, Michigan
On September 22, the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Village Fabrics and Crafts of Paradise, MI, will partner to host the “Historic Quilting at Whitefish Point” program at Whitefish Point Light Station. This collaboration will provide a unique opportunity for novice quilters and lighthouse enthusiasts to learn the English Paper piecing method as it historically would have been done.
Participants will sew a quilt block design reproduced from a quilt in the Lighthouse Keepers quarters and enjoy special programs, lunch and admission to the museum. Space is limited for this program. The $65 registration fee includes quilt block kit, historic presentations, lunch and museum admission. Please contact Bruce Lynn or Sarah Wilde at (906) 635-1742 for more information.
