Traditional East Asian Medicine is a broad term for traditional medicine that originated in China and incorporates traditions and practices spanning from Western China to Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. This medicine has been continually practiced and evolving for the last 3000 years. Join Charles to learn about the basic theoretical framework that forms the foundation Traditional East Asian Medicine. This class will be a one hour lecture followed by 30 minutes for questions and discussion.
Instructor Charles Bishop is a fully licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and founder of Artemisia Acupuncture in Grand Marais, MN. He holds a Master’s of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from The American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, now known as The American Academy of Health and Wellness. Charles specializes in both traditional Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine as well as Korean acupuncture in his practice on the North Shore. He has a passion for teaching his patients to use acupressure and Qi Gong for pain relief and health maintenance as well discussing all things related to Traditional East Asian Medicine. Charles lives in Grand Marais with his wife Grace and two sons.
