"Iron Ore and the Civil War"

The Civil War and the role Michigan's iron resources played in preserving the Union come to life. The Civil War artillery encampment features interpretation of military and civilian camp life, cannon demonstrations, and cooking demonstrations. The event also includes live period music, guest speakers, dramatic performances and children's games and activities.
