Lake Superior Wooden Boat Festival

The Lake Superior Wooden Boat Festival marks its 15th year. The show is the largest wooden and classic boat show on Lake Superior and features vintage and new boats of all kinds – pulling boats, power boats, sailing boats, canoes and kayaks. The public is invited to vote for "Best Of" in four classes, plus "Best of Festival." Music is provided by Mad About Jane – a touch of jazz to augment the fine wooden boats. The festival runs 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and there's no admission charge. At Barker's Island Marina on Barker's Island in Superior. To enter a boat, contact Doug George at 612-889-9142.
