The Karpeles Museum will play host to its first guest speaker, Dr. William Miller, who will give a lecture corresponding to the museum’s current exhibit: The Beginning of the Civil War. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Miller, former Executive Director of the Depot and Glensheen and current Professor of History at both the University of Minnesota-Duluth and the College of St. Scholastica, in his lecture, “Lincoln: A Leader From the Start,” will be discussing some of the key events leading up to the outbreak of the Civil War; a question and answer session is to follow the discussion.
