"Lost Duluth" by Tony Dierckins

Lake Superior Marine Museum Association presents: "Lost Duluth" by Tony Dierckins, who will give a presentation based on his recent book “Lost Duluth.” The book uses more than 400 images of vanished homes, buildings, landmarks, industries and residential neighborhoods. It tells about the people, from hardscrabble pioneers to the wealthy industrialists and impoverished immigrant laborers, whose ambitions and dreams built the Zenith City on a swamp and rocky hillside at the head of the Great Lakes. The program is followed by an opportunity to meet the author, purchase books and get them signed. Free at Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center, 600 South Lake Avenue in Duluth.
