Marcia Hales' walk-through Christmas lighting display celebrates its 18th year on Duluth's Park Point with tens of thousands of lights.

Stop by for free hot cider and cookies, and check out the path to the beach with green laser lights.

Open 5 to 9 p.m. weekdays and from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The book Spirit of the Lights (available from this magazine's publisher) tells stories of people who found unexpected meaning and comfort in Marcia's holiday lights.
