The Marquette Regional History Center presents Birchbark Canoe Build – a hands-on learning opportunity in our community. Rochelle Dale and Jan Zender will build a birchbark canoe in the center's gathering hall. School groups will visit the build and learn from Jan and Rochelle. The public is invited to stop in and observe during the open hours from May 13-17. A Birchbark Canoe Build Open House will be May 15 from 5-7 p.m. All ages are welcome.
