The Marquette Regional History Center presents: FINNISH BIRD CARVING WORKSHOP September 28, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Instructor: Peter Pekka Olson. This workshop will focus on the decorative side of carving, and will feature a presentation based on Olson’s trips to Finland. A master of Scandinavian-American carving crafts, Olson will teach participants how to carve an Onenlintu (“happy bird”) from cedar. Pre-registration required. Fee: $45 + $5 materials fee.
