Matinee Musicale is pleased to present American mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke in the first concert of the 114th season on Tuesday, October 22, 7:30 p.m. at Weber Music Hall on UMD’s campus.

Sasha's program will include songs by Aaron Copland, Benjamin Britten, Hugo Wolf, George Crumb, Maurice Ravel, and Francis Poulenc. She will be accompanied by pianist Pei-Yao Wang. The Split Rock Men’s Chorus, a new vocal ensemble that formed at UMD, will perform before the concert, and have also been invited to sing a selection with Sasha when she takes the stage.
