Mayor Don Ness' Final Address & Concert Celebration

Mayor Don Ness is offering a free concert Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the DECC's Symphony Hall, when he also will give his final public address. The program runs from 7 to 9 p.m., with the mayor's final address at 9 p.m. and the Boomchucks after-party in the lower level of Paulucci Hall. Those scheduled to perform are Dave Simonett of Trampled by Turtles, Alan Sparhawk and Gaelynn Lea of The Murder of Crows, Sarah Lawrence of Lyric Opera of the North and singer-songwriters Jerree Small, Erik Koskinen, Sara Thomsen, Charlie Parr and Sarah Krueger. Don is paying for the event, but donations will be accepted to help pay the artists and facility charges. The first 500 people through the door will receive a copy of the Mayor's Mix CD featuring some of Duluth's finest musicians.
