to
Holden Fine Arts Center 1805 Catlin Ave, Superior, Wisconsin 54880
The 4th annual North Central Windows Program Art Show features works of art in a variety of mediums by survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, which was completed at the weekly NCWP workshops and in outreach programs at Safe Haven Shelter. This year's show will also feature the works of Jenn Salo, assistant director for NCWP. Jenn is a University of Wisconsin-Superior alum who graduated with her master’s degree in art therapy and works in the community and at the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse. The theme is "Renewal." Four projects were outlined: Inner Self Portraits, Unmasking Me/Unmasking the Future, My Traveling Story and A Journey Within. This year marks the first time that the art exhibit will be presented at two local galleries and UMD during Domestic Violence Awareness month. The show runs at the Kruk Gallery in the Holden Fine Arts Building on the UWS campus Monday October 1-15. Some pieces will be displayed in the Multi Cultural Center at the University of Minnesota Duluth from October 16 to October 22.
