Join local book lovers for the 29th annual Northeastern Minnesota Book Awards and enjoy a book fair, featured speaker Larry Weber, and the announcement of winners in six categories. This event will celebrate books about Northeastern Minnesota published in 2016.
The program and awards presentation, in the Kirby Ballroom on the UMD campus, is free and open to the public.
Speaker Larry Weber began writing about nature in the mid 1990s. He has authored 14 books, including Butterflies of the North Woods, Spiders of the North Woods, Fascinating Fungi of the North Woods, Backyard Almanac, Minnesota Phenology, Webwood: Seasons of Life in the North Woods and In a Patch of Goldenrod.
