President's Day at Museum

The Carlton County Historical Society will offer a program about Abraham Lincoln at its museum in Cloquet on President's Day, Monday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m.
The guest speaker, Dr. William Miller, is a history professor at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. His teaching interests include U.S. history, especially Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era. He is a member of the Abraham Lincoln Association as well as the International Association of Egyptologists. His President's Day program focuses on misconceptions and mythology about Lincoln and the American values he struggled to uphold.
After the program, refreshments will be served. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children under 12, and free admission for children under 5 and Carlton County Historical Society members . The museum is handicapped accessible. For more information, call 218-879-1938.
