"Ready to Hang" is a panel discussion based on the behind-the-scenes happenings of the art world. Panelists include: Martin DeWitt, a working artist who divides his time between North Carolina and Minnesota and is well-known in the area for his work as curator and director of the Tweed Museum of Art (1986-2003); Anne Dugan, executive and artistic director of the Duluth Art Institute and founder of the Free Range Film Festival; Taylor Kline, curator and gallery director of Prøve Gallery in Duluth; Penny Perry, an artist who has owned and operated Perry Framing for more than 35 years; and Ryan Tischer, a fine art photographer and the former cooperative president of Washington Studios. This event is a part of a series of free programs honoring Sarah Brokke's "Portrait of an Artist" exhibition of 36 gorgeous paintings of local poets, musicians and visual artists that have inspired her, on view in the DAI Morrison Gallery.
