The Carlton County Historical Society celebrates Boxing Day, the day after Christmas, on Saturday, December 26, 2015, with a Santa movie at 1 p.m. at its museum in Cloquet.
This old home movie from the 1940s features many local sights, including a driving tour of Jay Cooke Park before the roads were paved, an ice jam on the St. Louis River in Cloquet, a train engine derailment and Christmas at home with a visit from Santa Claus. The silent movie will be shown on the big screen with taped music accompaniment. Popcorn and punch will be served during the movie and a door prize drawing will be held during intermission.
Regular admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children under 12, and free admission for children under 5 and Carlton County Historical Society members. The museum is handicapped accessible. For more information call 218-879-1938.
