Seney National Wildlife Refuge's 2014 Winter Film Festival
to
Seney National Wildlife Refuge 1674 Refuge Entrance Road, Seney, Michigan 49883
For its 2014 Winter Film Festival, Seney National Wildlife Refuge presents two films, "The Private Life of Deer" and "An Original DUCKumentary" starting at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 11. In the first 60-minute film, scientists outfit deer with night-vision cameras and GPS tracking equipment that reveal the hidden world of white-tailed deer in a whole new light. It allows us to see them not as common backyard creatures, but as intelligent, affectionate family members. The second 60-minute film shows that ducks are true originals, with more than 120 different species. Ducks have a talent for survival, and life stories filled with personality and charm. Films are shown in the visitor center auditorium at Seney National Wildlife Refuge, and are free. Hot chocolate, coffee, tea and cookies will be provided by the Seney Natural History Association. Please bring a mug. Watch previews of this year’s films on the Seney website at www.fws.gov/refuge/Seney/Events.html. For more information, call 906-586-9851, or go to www.fws.gov/refuge/seney.
