Chad Dayton, director of programs and partnerships for Minneapolis-based non-profit Wilderness Inquiry, will present “Passing the Wilderness Torch,” at the Northland College Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute Thursday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m.
In response to the recent 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, Dayton discusses the critical importance of passing along America's most defining tradition: wilderness. In his role with Wilderness Inquiry, Dayton oversees programs that engage nearly 25,000 youth annually in both urban and wilderness settings and demonstrate the necessity of collective impact to facilitate meaningful change. Free and open to the public, this series is sponsored by the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute and the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters.
