Kissing the Water: The Lure and the Lore of Fly Fishing

There is magic involved in fly fishing. See how this sport captures art, philosophy, literature and environmental concerns. From handmade rods and flies, to the work of John Voelker, fly fishing has a rich history in this region. There will be numerous special events relating to this Special Exhibition, including a “Fish Painting” workshop with Liz Yelland, and the MRHC gift store will be selling work by featured Artist Derek DeYoung, Yooper Shirts and more. An opening reception will be held on Thursday June 29th, 5:00-7:00 p.m. There will be a $5 suggested donation for the general public, and free to members at the Sponsor Level and above for the opening.
