The Great War
to
Marquette Regional History Center 145 W. Spring Street, Marquette, Michigan 49855
The outcomes of World War I, arguably the most important event of the 20th Century, set the stage for the rise of the communist and fascist dictators, World War II, the Cold War and the current chaos in the Middle East and Balkans. It also had a major impact on the members of this community as it was the first time large numbers of young men would leave this area to take part in a war. Attendees will have a better understanding of the war, its legacy and impact on the community and the world. Presented by Military Historian John Moschetti. $5 suggested donation.
