Underwater Soundscapes

The UMD Large Lakes Observatory Science on Deck event on the R/V Blue Heron is free and will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 26, 2026. Tours guided and detailed from the research vessel crew, interaction with graduate students working on freshwater research, with displays. The public can hear a presentation from the Dr. Catherine O'Reilly, Director of Large Lakes Observatory at 1:30 pm titled: “Beneath the Surface: What Lakes Reveal About a Warming World”.
